PhD thesis – A Model-based approach to assess harms and benefits of different screening strategies for cervical and colorectal cancer

Steffie Naber from the Department of Public Health in Rotterdam successfully defended her PhD thesis entitled: “Reducing Harms and Increasing Benefits of Screening for Cervical Cancer and Colorectal Cancer – A Model-based Approach” on April 19.

Several studies are included in which mathematical modeling has been used to assess the harms, benefits, and harm-benefit ratio of different screening strategies for the early detection of cervical cancer and colorectal cancer.
