What is the impact of HPV vaccination on the cervical cancer burden and its control in the Netherlands? New publication answers

Suzette Matthijsse successfully defended her doctoral thesis in on May 3rd in Rotterdam .  The overall aim of this thesis was to study the transmission dynamics of HPV-16 and HPV-18 in the Netherlands, and to estimate the impact of vaccination on HPV-16 and HPV-18, and cervical cancer after the renewal of the Dutch cervical cancer screening program.


The project was launched in September 2015 and will continue to August 2020.
