How accurate is screen mammography in women with strong family history of BC?

In a recently published meta-analysis, pooling individual patient data from prospective trials, examined the accuracy of screening mammography with or without MRI in women with a strong family history of breast cancer and without a known gene mutation. Their results indicate a higher sensitivity of the combination of mammography and MRI in all age groups. The combination, however, had the lowest specificity due to a relatively high number of false positives from MRI.
